(LY): The numbers are from last year's finale
Please note that last year's numbers are taken from the whole hour statistics, not the half-hours.
It was a great night for CBS, with every show higher than last week. The Big Bang Theory was up by half a point, probably boosted by its lead-out, the big premiere of Supergirl. Probably the most advertised new series of this fall, the marketing paid off with a huge 3.1. It also managed to gain a tenth in its second half-hour. It clearly met expectations. After that was a special 90-minutes presentation of Scorpion, that went steady with last week's performance with a worst timeslot. A very great night for CBS indeed!
On NBC, The Voice wasn't touched too much by this big night, with The Voice staying pretty much steady in its ratings. Blindspot stayed steady too with last week's performance.
ABC pretty much laid low during the night, only airing Dancing with the Stars and a rerun of Castle. The competition show did the same performance as last week, with some variations that don't change much, and Castle was only 3 tenths down from its regular airing.
Apparently people wanted to see superheroes last night, even if it was on FOX. Gotham gained 3 tenths from last week in its first half-hour. It lost 2 of them, though, when Supergirl started. We'll have to see next week when Supergirl will be airing at 8pm if it hurts Gotham too much. Minority Report was still very low but gained a tenth in its first half, surprisingly. It lost it in its last half, though.
Mondays are no good for the CW. The new show Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is already at 0.2, a channel-low (at least for this season), at only its third week. Jane the Virgin doesn't do much better with 0.3, down a tenth from its already deceiving numbers from last week.
What should we check out tonight, as far as ratings go? NBC's comedies are down every week, it's just a matter now of when it will stop. Also, how far can Hawaii Five-0 falls? Will it actually reach the 0's? And will ABC comedies stay as stable as they were the past few weeks?
What do you think of those ratings? Is your favorite show down? What did YOU watch? Tell us in the comments!
