FOX had a better week with all its shows on the upswing or at least stable, and its average rose to its best since premiere week. Gotham rebounded even against the big Supergirl premiere, and Wednesday had relief in the form of upticks after several ugly post-premiere drops. Bones continued to be a reliable and steady player on Thursday, and football and a Treehouse of Horror episode of The Simpsons boosted the whole block into season highs.
FOX gave back orders and full seasons to both The Grinder and Grandfathered which isn't surprising as networks have lower expectations and more patience with new shows recently, giving mediocrity rated shows backorders and keeping anemically rated shows on air. This does not affect their renewal standings, but it does give them more episodes to prove to FOX that they have potential. They were on a World Series hiatus this week, so any changes for Scream Queens, The Grinder, and Grandfathered would come next week. Rosewood also rebounded this week, but I'll also wait for it to return from a World Series break.
