Monday TV Ratings 5/30/22: American Ninja Warrior: All Star Spectacular and Beat Shazam Lead Abysmal Memorial Day, Don’t Forget The Lyrics Gets Uglier (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Fox's 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' (0.27, -0.09) shaved off nearly a full tenth from a premiere that was already underwhelming and was followed by a sinking 'Beat Shazam' (0.31, -0.07). Though 'Shazam' dealt with some slippage, it still tied 'American Ninja Warrior All-Star Spectacular' (0.31) for the top spot on a bleak Memorial Day. After 'Warrior', NBC aired a rerun of 'Weakest Link' (0.25) that led the 10PM hour. 'The Neighborhood' (0.26), 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.23), 'NCIS' (0.21), and 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.22) were all in repeat-mode on CBS. ABC's broadcast of 2016 animated film 'Zootopia' (0.23) was over 40% lower than what 'Up' (0.40) posted in this slot two weeks ago. The repeat of 'The Conners' (0.12) that followed was feeble in the 10:30PM timeslot. The CW went with a trio of 'World's Funniest Animals' encores (0.05/0.05/0.05).

Finals Update: 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' (+0.1) and a rerun of 'The Neighborhood' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Sunday TV Ratings 5/29/22: NASCAR Races to Victory on Slow Night, 60 Minutes Repeat Take Distant Second (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: After winning Saturday night with baseball, Fox took the lead again thanks to a solid 'NASCAR Coca-Cola 600' broadcast (0.57). CBS was the closest to competing with its '60 Minutes' rerun (0.35), but repeats of 'The Equalizer' (0.19), 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.18), and 'SWAT' (0.19) dropped significantly from there. ABC had solid encores of 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (0.29), 'Celebrity Family Feud' (0.30/0.28), and 'The $100,000 Pyramid' (0.25). NBC went with repeat showings of 'Weakest Link' (0.17), 'Young Rock' (0.15/0.16), and 'American Ninja Warrior' (0.17). The CW's 'Riverdale' (0.04, -0.01) shed a hundredth and led into reruns of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.04) and 'Would I Lie To You?' (0.04) that tied the original drama.

Finals Update: 'NASCAR Coca-Cola 600' (+0.1) and repeats of 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (+0.1) and 'Weakest Link' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Saturday TV Ratings 5/28/22: Transplant Flatlines in New Timeslot, MLB Leads Quiet Night (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's 'Transplant' (0.12, -0.10) reemerged after over a month off with even fewer people watching than ever before. This rating trails the drama's last episode from its Sunday run (0.22) and serves as the program's weakest performance to date in the 18-49 demographic. At 9, a rerun of 'Dateline' (0.23) built on 'Transplant' by more than a full tenth. ABC went with repeats of 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (0.20), 'Shark Tank' (0.18), and 'The Rookie' (0.15). CBS had a slightly lower average than the alphabet network with encores of 'Magnum PI' (0.14), 'Blue Bloods' (0.16), and '48 Hours' (0.14). Fox bested all the other networks with its broadcast of 'MLB: Regional Coverage' (0.33). The CW remained feeble as ever with reruns of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.05), 'Would I Lie To You?' (0.03), and 'Masters of Illusion' (0.02/0.04).

Finals Update: Repeats of 'Shark Tank' (+0.1) and 'Blue Bloods' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Friday TV Ratings 5/27/22: The Blacklist Inches Up for Finale, WWE SmackDown Leads (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC drama 'The Blacklist' (0.24, +0.01) wrapped up its ninth season with a predictably meager rating but at least managed to scrape together an extra hundredth for said season finale. The 'Dateline' rerun (0.29) that came after 'Blacklist' ended up growing from it by five-hundredths. ABC's 'Together As One' Soul of a Nation special about Asian-Americans (0.27) was unremarkable in the 8PM hour and lost out to the '20/20' encore (0.28) that followed it. 'Come Dance With Me' (0.25, -0.01) shed a single hundredth on CBS and led into weakened repeats of 'Magnum PI' (0.19) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.21). On Fox, 'WWE Smackdown' (0.43, -0.02) was two-hundredths lower than last week but easily topped the night. The CW's 'Charmed' (0.05, -0.01) dropped by a hundredth as 'Dynasty' (0.03) tied its week-ago broadcast.

Finals Update: 'Together As One' (+0.1) and repeats of 'Dateline NBC' (+0.1) and '20/20' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Thursday TV Ratings 5/26/22: Grey’s Anatomy Rises for 400th Episode Finale, Welcome To Flatch Remains Pitiful on Finale Night (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC drama 'Grey's Anatomy' (0.65, +0.05) rose by five-hundredths for a 400th episode that also doubled as its season finale. 'Grey's' was easily the highest-rated program on a night full of reruns and led into an encore of 'The Rookie' (0.23). CBS had repeats of 'Young Sheldon' (0.40), canceled 'United States of Al' (0.36), 'Ghosts' (0.24), and 'B Positive' (0.24). In the 10PM hour, drama 'Bull' (0.32, -0.02) quietly ended its six-season run by losing two-hundredths. On the Fox network, 'MasterChef Junior' (0.31, -0.07) slipped to a new series low while 'Welcome To Flatch' (0.15/0.15) was steady at 9 and up by three-hundredths at 9:30 when compared to last week's batch of episodes (0.15/0.12). 'Flatch' was the only other season finale aside from 'Grey's' and will be back for season two despite laughable ratings. NBC had repeats of 'Celebrity Escape Room' (0.37), 'Law & Order: SVU' (0.34), and 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' (0.25). The CW had anemic reruns of 'Walker' (0.03) and 'Legacies' (0.01).

Finals Update: Repeats of 'Celebrity Escape Room' (+0.1) and 'United States of Al' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Wednesday TV Ratings 5/25/22: Survivor Sinks for Finale, Chicago Fire and Chicago PD End Higher, The Great American Tag Sale Mediocre (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: CBS's 'Survivor' (0.79, -0.13) suffered a sizable blow for its season finale and was unable to be crowned as the highest-rated program of the evening. That honor instead went to 'Chicago Fire' (0.80, +0.11), with the NBC drama growing by more than a full tenth for its finale. 'Fire was sandwiched by rising editions of 'Chicago Med' (0.67, +0.04) and 'Chicago PD' (0.74, +0.09). 'Med' and 'PD' also rose for their finales but not as much as 'Fire'. On Fox, 'MasterChef' (0.34) had a dismal start to the season, and 'So You Think You Can Dance' (0.25, -0.09) lost a tenth from a premiere that was already rather lackluster. ABC also had a night of uninspiring ratings with 'The Great American Tag Sale' (0.35) and 'The American Rescue Dog Show' (0.25). 'The Flash' (0.09, -0.03) and 'Kung Fu' (0.06, -0.02) crumbled on the CW.

Finals Update: 'Survivor' (+0.1), 'Chicago Med' (+0.1), and 'The Great American Tag Sale' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Tuesday TV Ratings 5/24/22: This Is Us Hits Highest Rating Since 2020 for Series Finale, FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted End With New Lows, Name That Tune Up for Finale (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC drama 'This Is Us' (1.27, +0.32) exploded to a mammoth rating for its series finale, closing out season six with its highest rating since November 2020. A scripted series clearing the 1.0 threshold without a sports lead-in has become increasingly rare, but 'This Is Us' has proved that this feat is still possible. Sitcom 'Young Rock' (0.43/0.45; +0.08/+0.02) and drama series 'New Amsterdam' (0.47, +0.09) sandwiched 'Us' and both experienced significant growth for their season finales. Airing after a rerun of 'FBI' (0.47), 'FBI: International' (0.44, -0.10) and 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.41, -0.07) both slipped to new series lows for their respective CBS finales. ABC's 'Holey Moley' (0.47, +0.11) rose by more than a tenth and climbed to a new season high. 'The Chase' (0.32, +0.05) grew by about half the amount that 'Moley' did and led into a rerun of 'Who Do You Believe?' (0.23) that was stronger than last week's original episode (0.18). Fox's 'Name That Tune' (0.32, +0.06) picked up six-hundredths for its finale and posted its highest rating in over a month. The CW had a pair of 'Superman & Lois' reruns (0.05/0.03).

Finals Update: 'This Is Us' (+0.1) and the repeat of 'FBI' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Monday TV Ratings 5/23/22: Don’t Forget the Lyrics Off to Slow Start, The Neighborhood and NCIS: Hawaii Rise for Finales (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Fox's reboot of game show 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' (0.36) was off to a mediocre start on debut night, coming in a distant fourth in the 8PM timeslot. 'Beat Shazam' (0.38) built on that rating a bit for its return but still fell short of its August 2021 finale (0.45). CBS was up across the board with the season finales of 'The Neighborhood' (0.56, +0.02), 'Bob

❤️

Abishola' (0.51, +0.05), 'NCIS' (0.50, +0.06), and 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.41, +0.09). Each finale grew by a larger amount than the one that came before it. NBC got a pretty solid rating out of its broadcast of 2015 film 'Jurassic World' (0.42). ABC won the night with its 'Heat v. Celtics' game (1.93), but this NBA broadcast was about two-tenths lower than Saturday's (2.11). On the other hand, 'NBA Countdown' (0.62) grew by almost a tenth when compared to two days prior (0.54). CW dramas 'All American' (0.19, +0.02) and 'All American: Homecoming' (0.14, +0.01) inched up on finale night.

Finals Update: 'NBA Playoffs: Heat v. Celtics' (+0.6), 'The Neighborhood' (+0.1), and 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'NBA Countdown' (-0.3) adjusted down.

Sunday TV Ratings 5/22/22: American Idol Ticks Up for Finale, The Simpsons Ends Down, NCIS: Los Angeles Sets Series Low for Finale (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Though 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (0.50, -0.21) had a somewhat alarming week-to-week drop, ABC's 'American Idol' (0.76, +0.10) picked up a tenth for its season finale and easily topped the evening. CBS's '60 Minutes' (0.56, +0.10) also rose by a tenth and was followed by a '60 Minutes Presents' telecast (0.29) that barely retained half of its lead-in. Seemingly as a result of the low-rated 'Presents', 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.35, -0.08) and 'SWAT' (0.32, -0.09) crashed to new series lows for their respective season finales. On Fox, 'The Simpsons' (0.28, -0.03) and 'The Great North' (0.22, -0.04) crumbled for their finales while 'Bob's Burgers' (0.35) held flat and 'Family Guy' (0.39, +0.01) picked up a hundredth. Airing behind a 'Simpsons' rerun, 'Duncanville' (0.19, +0.02) climbed to a season high and will continue airing new episodes throughout the summer. NBC had reruns of 'Weakest Link' (0.14/0.19) and 'Dateline' (0.24). The CW's 'Riverdale' (0.05, +0.01) gained a hundredth and led into encores of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.05) and 'Would I Lie To You?' (0.02).

Finals Update: 'American Idol' (+0.1) adjusted up. '60 Minutes' (-0.3) and '60 Minutes Presents' (-0.2) adjusted down.

Saturday TV Ratings 5/21/22: Saturday Night Live Steady on Finale Night, NBA Playoffs Dominate, USFL Goes Low (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: Natasha Lyonne and Japanese Breakfast were on deck for a 'Saturday Night Live' season finale (0.81) that marked the departure of multiple, noteworthy cast-members. Despite all the buzz surrounding it, the NBC sketch-comedy merely held even with the Gomez-Malone episode from the week prior. 'SNL' had much less lead-in help than usual from a 'USFL: Panthers v. Stallions' game (0.14) that was a good bit below the typical 'Dateline' rerun or 'SNL Vintage'. ABC dominated the primetime hours as their 'Heat v. Celtics' NBA Playoffs game (2.11) demolished the competition. The 8PM 'NBA Countdown' broadcast (0.54) was nowhere near as massive but still topped its hour. On CBS, '48 Hours' (0.24, +0.06) rebounded rather nicely after taking a week off. Repeats of 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.20) and '48 Hours' itself (0.20) preceded the original telecast. The CW's 'Would I Lie To You?' (0.06, +0.01) inched up while 'Masters of Illusion' (0.09, +0.05) soared. The 8PM rerun of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.08) and 9:30PM encore of 'Masters of Illusion' (0.08) both beat out Fox's puny 'MLS Soccer' broadcast (0.06).

Finals Update: 'NBA Playoffs: Heat v. Celtics' (+0.6) adjusted up. 'NBA Countdown' (-0.4) and 'USFL: Panthers v. Stallions' (-0.1) adjusted down.

Friday TV Ratings 5/20/22: Shark Tank Up for Finale, The Blacklist and WWE SmackDown Also Rise, 20/20 Steady (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'Shark Tank' (0.48, +0.03) swam to the top of the Friday night roster as it often does and rose by three-hundredths for its season finale. '20/20' (0.35) was unable to join 'Tank' at the top but held steady with its week-ago broadcast. NBC's 'The Blacklist' (0.23, +0.01) and 'Dateline' (0.34, +0.03) were also on the rise, as was CBS's 'Come Dance With Me' (0.26, +0.05). 'Dance' climbed to its highest rating since late April and led into reruns of 'Magnum PI' (0.20) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.25). Fox's 'WWE Smackdown' (0.45, +0.05) grew by five-hundredths but still settled for the #2 spot of the night. 'Charmed' (0.06, -0.01) and 'Dynasty' (0.03, -0.01) lost a hundredth apiece on the CW.

Finals Update: 'Shark Tank' (+0.1) and 'Come Dance With Me' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Thursday TV Ratings 5/19/22: United States of Al Down for Series Finale, SVU Also Down for Finale, Young Sheldon Finale Leads (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: It was series finale night on CBS as sitcoms 'United States of Al' (0.46, -0.04) and 'How We Roll' (0.33, -0.07/0.30, -0.02) aired their final ever episodes on the network. 'Al' was down by four-hundredths for its season two closer as 'Roll' dropped in both half-hours for the last episodes of its one and only season. 'Young Sheldon' (0.66, +0.02) picked up two-hundredths for its season finale and topped the night simultaneously while 'Bull' (0.34) held even for its penultimate outing at 10. Over on ABC, 'Station 19' (0.58, +0.10) and 'Big Sky' (0.25, +0.03) enjoyed healthy gains for their season finales. 'Grey's Anatomy' (0.60, +0.11) experienced the largest rise of the three dramas but will not have its finale until early June. NBC's 'Law & Order' (0.39, -0.04) and 'Law & Order: SVU' (0.59, -0.02) had small declines for their finales, but 'Law & Order: Organized Crime' (0.51, +0.03) was able to rise a bit for its 10PM closer. Fox was up with 'MasterChef Junior' (0.38, +0.03), but 'Welcome to Flatch' (0.15, -0.03/0.12, -0.01) posted yet another new low for its 9:30PM episode. The CW's reruns of 'Walker' (0.05) and 'Legacies' (0.03) were at the same level as last week.

Finals Update: 'Young Sheldon' (+0.1), 'United States of Al' (+0.1), 'Station 19' (+0.1), 'Grey's Anatomy' (+0.1), and 'Law & Order: SVU' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Wednesday TV Ratings 5/18/22: The Masked Singer and The Conners End Up, Home Economics Rises for Finale, So You Think You Can Dance Returns Low

Ratings Analysis: ABC had almost nothing but positive news on finale night as 'The Wonder Years' (0.33, +0.04), 'The Conners' (0.42, +0.01), 'Home Economics' (0.29, +0.05), and 'A Million Little Things' (0.24, +0.05) all rose for their season closers. Longtime sitcom 'The Goldbergs' (0.39, -0.03) was the only show not to rise on the alphabet network, with the comedy sinking to a new series low for the final episode of its ninth season. 'Survivor' (0.92, +0.14) had the largest week-to-week gain of the evening on CBS and led into the 'Beyond the Edge' finale (0.32, +0.01). 'Edge' picked up a single hundredth and was followed by a rerun of 'FBI' (0.21) that went a tenth below it. Fox's 'The Masked Singer' (0.71, +0.05) gained five-hundredths for its finale, but the season premiere of 'So You Think You Can Dance' (0.34) retained less than half of that rating. 'Dance' was a tenth lower than the last time it aired back in 2019 (0.4). On NBC, 'Chicago Med' (0.63, -0.01) lost a hundredth, 'Chicago Fire' (0.69, +0.01) gained one, and 'Chicago PD' (0.65, -0.02) shed two-hundredths. 'The Flash' (0.12, +0.01) and 'Kung Fu' (0.08, +0.01) each got a hundredth back on The CW.

Finals Update: 'Survivor' (+0.1) adjusted up.

Riverdale Ending with Season 7

Another long-running CW series is preparing to say its goodbyes. Riverdale, the oft-maligned TV adaptation of the Archie Comics, will end its run next year after a seven-season run. The decision to end the series comes following the expiration of the contracts of the show's principal cast, and amid a mass exodus of CW original programming. The seventh season will air midseason, the first time that The CW has held the show from a regular fall lineup since its debut in the 2016-17 season. The series, which is one of the last CW shows standing that still has a Netflix deal, was one of the network's lowest-rated shows this season, with a 0.06 average that put it below all but one of the network's slew of eight canceled series this season. KJ Apa, Lilil Reinhart, Cole Sprouse, Camila Mendes and Madelaine Petsch star in the series.

Ratings Analysis: NBC sitcom 'Mr. Mayor' (0.27, +0.02) ended its two-season run in unremarkable fashion but was still able to rise by two-hundredths for its last hurrah. Airing right before the final episode of the Ted Danson sitcom, recently-renewed 'Young Rock' (0.35, -0.03) dropped by three-hundredths. At 9, 'This Is Us' (0.95, +0.14) climbed to its highest rating in over four months for its penultimate episode, with this serving as the second strongest episode of the season overall. 10PM drama 'New Amsterdam' (0.38, +0.01) picked up a hundredth. Fox's 'The Resident' (0.35, +0.02) had a small uptick on finale night, and 'Name That Tune' (0.26, +0.01) grew alongside it. On CBS, 'FBI' (0.56, -0.03) lost three-hundredths for its finale as 'FBI: International' (0.54, +0.03) rose by the same amount. Ratings Analysis: Fox's '9-1-1' (0.75, +0.05) and '9-1-1: Lone Star' (0.62, -0.02) ended their seasons in strong fashion, with the two once more being the #1 and #2 broadcasts of the evening respectively. ABC's 'The Good Doctor' (0.36, +0.01) picked up a hundredth for its season finale but managed to fall behind the showing of Pixar movie 'Up' (0.40) that aired right before it. On CBS, 'The Neighborhood' (0.54, -0.01) dropped by a hundredth while 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.46, +0.02) picked up two ticks. On the drama front, 'NCIS' (0.44, -0.11) and 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.32, -0.11) nosedived after taking a week off. The two dramas were down by identical amounts and this marks a new low for 'Hawai'i'. NBC's broadcast of 'Downton Abbey' (0.22) was only strong enough to beat out the CW's offerings. On the CW, 'All American' (0.17, +0.06) and 'All American: Homecoming' (0.13, +0.05) surged to their highest ratings since March.

Finals Update: 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (+0.1) and 'The Good Doctor' (+0.1) adjusted up.

9-1-1 Renewed by Fox

Fox's #1 show has finally been confirmed to return, as the network has renewed 9-1-1 just hours after its spinoff, 9-1-1: Lone Star. 9-1-1 will enter its sixth season. Ryan Murphy's first responder drama has been a top performer for Fox since premiering, but its future remained in doubt following some difficult renewal negotiations between Fox and 20th TV. Any fears of a shock cancellation can now be put to rest as the deal for the show closed just before Fox's Upfront presentation today. 9-1-1 stars Angela Bassett, Peter Krause, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kennth Choi and Jennifer Love Hewitt. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

The Resident Renewed by Fox

The Resident will continue to reside on Fox's schedule, as Fox has renewed the medical drama for a sixth season. The series rates towards the middle of Fox's scripted lineup, with a 0.43 average, remaining a reliably decent player for Fox, just as it's been since its premiere. The show has anchored Tuesday nights on Fox since its second season, and stars Matt Czuchry, Manish Dayal, Bruce Greenwood, Malcolm-Jamal Warner and Jane Leeves. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Sunday TV Ratings 5/15/22: Billboard Music Awards Slightly Below 2021, The Equalizer and The Rookie End Down, American Idol and 60 Minutes Also Drop (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: NBC's telecast of the '2022 Billboard Music Awards' (0.67) was relatively on-par with the 2021 broadcast (0.73) as the ceremony lost just a paltry 8% on a year-to-year basis. The rerun of 'Weakest Link' (0.26) that preceded the event placed third in the 7PM timeslot. ABC's 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (0.71, +0.03) picked up three-hundredths and was the highest-rated program of the night. 'American Idol' (0.66, -0.10) and the season finale of 'The Rookie' (0.36, -0.05) went in the opposite direction of 'AFV'. CBS's 'The Equalizer' (0.51, -0.06) also declined for its finale, as did regular episodes of '60 Minutes' (0.46, -0.10), 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.43, -0.01), and 'SWAT' (0.41, -0.02). 'Duncanville' (0.17, +0.04) and 'The Simpsons' (0.31, +0.05) received some much-needed relief on Fox. The remaining three originals rose by three-hundredths apiece ['The Great North' (0.26, +0.03), 'Bob's Burgers' (0.35, +0.03), Family Guy' (0.38, +0.03)]. Even the 7PM rerun of 'The Simpsons' (0.18) was six-hundredths higher than the week-ago one (0.12). The CW's veteran drama 'Riverdale' (0.04, -0.02) shed two-hundredths and was put to shame by repeats of 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.05) and 'Would I Lie to You?' (0.04).

Finals Update: The '2022 Billboard Music Awards' (+0.2), 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (+0.1), '60 Minutes' (+0.1), 'Duncanville' (+0.1), 'American Idol' (+0.1), 'The Great North' (+0.1), 'Family Guy' (+0.1), and 'The Rookie' (+0.1) adjusted up.

NBC Announces Fall 2022 Schedule

NBC has once again become the first network to announce their fall schedule for the upcoming season. The schedule includes new shows Quantum Leap and Lopez vs. Lopez and a new Friday night lineup.

9-1-1: Lone Star Renewed by Fox

Fox's #2 drama will be back next season, as the network has renewed 9-1-1: Lone Star for a fourth season. Ryan Murphy's first responder procedural has been a ratings winner for Fox, giving the network a strong Monday night lineup as part of a block with its parent series, the yet-to-be-renewed 9-1–1. 9-1-1: Lone Star was instrumental in the successful launch of its winter lead-out series The Cleaning Lady, which became Fox's #3 drama and rated as TV's #4 new drama this year. The series stars Rob Lowe, Sierra McClain, Ronen Rubinstein, Natacha Karam, Jim Parrack and Gina Torres in starring roles. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Welcome to Flatch Renewed for Season Two

Welcome to season two, Welcome to Flatch. Fox has renewed their freshman comedy for a second season in a shocking move. The show is the lowest-rated scripted series on all of the Big Four networks, with a 0.17 average, but has acquired a solid following on streaming platforms. The show is also affordable to produce, and Fox liked the creative vision of the show. The show stars Aya Cash, Chelsea Holmes, Sam Straley and Seann William Scott.

Call Me Kat Renewed by Fox

Call me renewed. Fox has ordered a third season of sitcom Call Me Kat, its highest-rated live-action comedy. The series was not a big ratings performer for Fox this season, dropping 40% from its first season to an underwhelming 0.35 18-49 average. Despite this, it rated well above its lead-out comedies and retained most of its 8 PM reality show lead-ins over the course of its 18-episode second season. The show stars Mayim Bialik, Leslie Jordan, Cheyenne Jackson, Swoosie Kurtz and Kyla Pratt. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.

Saturday TV Ratings 5/14/22: Saturday Night Live Down Again, Top Gun Leads Primetime, Finding Dory OK (UPDAED)

Ratings Analysis: Despite having Selena Gomez as host and Post Malone as the musical guest, NBC staple 'Saturday Night Live' (0.81, -0.02) shed two-hundredths from the May 7th episode that had Benedict Cumberbatch in the hosting role (0.83). Reruns of 'Dateline' (0.17/0.20) and 'SNL Vintage' (0.25) were passable in primetime. CBS's broadcast of Tom Cruise film 'Top Gun' (0.27) beat out ABC's showing of animated sequel 'Finding Dory' (0.20) head-on. ABC had the upper-hand in the 10PM hour as its 'Judge Steve Harvey' rerun (0.16) trumped CBS's 'Bob Hearts Abishola' encore (0.13). Fox made almost no noise with feeble repeats of 'The Masked Singer' (0.10) and 'Domino Masters' (0.10). 'Would I Lie To You?' (0.05) and 'Masters of Illusion' (0.04) were steady on the CW. The 8PM 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' repeat (0.06) bested both of them while the 9:30PM 'Masters of Illusion' encore (0.03) was a hundredth short of last week's.

Finals Update: The repeat of 'Judge Steve Harvey' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'Masters of Illusion' (-0.1) and its repeat (-0.1) adjusted down, as did the 9 PM repeat of 'Dateline NBC' (-0.1).

Friday TV Ratings 5/13/22: Charmed and Dynasty Inch Up Following Cancellations, Shark Tank and The Blacklist Tick Down (UPDATED)

Ratings Analysis: ABC's 'Shark Tank' (0.45, -0.01) shed a hundredth but still managed to be the highest-rated program of the night. At 9, '20/20' (0.35, +0.05) picked up five-hundredths. After tying with 'Tank' for the #1 spot last week, 'WWE Smackdown' (0.40, -0.06) dropped by six-hundredths on Fox and settled for second. Following their cancellations, CW dramas 'Charmed' (0.07, +0.01) and 'Dynasty' (0.04, +0.01) each gained a single hundredth. CBS's struggling series 'Come Dance with Me' (0.21, +0.02) rose by two-hundredths and was followed by encores of 'Magnum PI' (0.21) and 'Blue Bloods' (0.26). 'The Blacklist' (0.22, -0.04) and 'Dateline' (0.31, -0.01) slipped on NBC.

Finals Update: The repeat of 'Blue Bloods' (+0.1) adjusted up.
