SUPER: PREVIOUSLY ON THE BOOK OF TERRI…
INT. SCHOOL HALLWAY - DAY
We last left the scene where Natasha and Katie interfere with a fight between Abigail and Terri.
Abigail reveals incriminating information to the girls.
Natasha turns towards Abigail.
NATASHA
Why would he do that? Isn’t that illegal? Did you know who stuffed the ballots?
ABIGAIL
He did not tell me. Even with that, it still was not enough to win the student council election for a freshman class officer position.
NATASHA
I don’t believe this!
Natasha then walks a couple steps back while Katie steps up to Abigail.
Abigail trembles.
Suddenly, Yvette shows up to the scene. She walks towards Terri.
YVETTE
Terri, why are putting yourself in a situation where you could get yourself in trouble?
Terri turns towards her.
TERRI
You hear this? We have a fraudulent election scheme going on.
YVETTE
That was last semester.
The girls then huddle together.
YVETTE (CONT’D)
Let’s head to a classroom.
They leave the hallway.
INT. JOURNALISM CLASSROOM - DAY
The girls enter the classroom. They then sit in the tables, in four by four positions.
Yvette looks up at Abigail.
YVETTE
Is that true, Abigail?
ABIGAIL
Get it out there.
TERRI
Yeah, let’s get the fact out that her father paid off someone to steal an election.
NATASHA
And may be possibly involved in this school ponzi scheme.
Abigail pauses.
She gets up.
ABIGAIL
Ponzi scheme?
She angrily turns to Natasha.
ABIGAIL (CONT'D)
This is the first I’m hearing of this.
YVETTE
One at a time.
TERRI
Alright. In order to get this story out there, it has to be something that has to be approved by Mrs. Lanyer first. Then Principal Coleman has to agree to it.
ABIGAIL
He should, but I doubt that’s going to happen. He and my dad go way back.
YVETTE
I’m going to get the story out there. But we need to tread carefully.
Terri and Yvette shake hands.
Katie and Natasha head to the computers in the journalism classroom.
Abigail twiddles her thumbs.
The scene fades to black.
SUPER: THE NEXT DAY…
EXT. HIGH SCHOOL - MORNING
The high school buzzes with activity, from students walking in to the line of cars in the parking lot.
It is 7:30 in the morning.
INT. PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE - DAY
Principal Coleman sits in his desk. He sighs.
MR. COLEMAN
Another day in the office.
The phone rings.
He answers, and then his eyebrows lower.
Fury rises from his face as he hangs up the phone.
MR. COLEMAN (CONT’D)
You have got to be kidding me! Janice!
The door opens to reveal Janice.
Janice crosses her arms.
JANICE
What is it, Vance? Something happen?
MR. COLEMAN
This upcoming article that the journalism staff is pulling about the investigation into the missing money from the SBDM budget needs to be put on hold. Or changed.
JANICE
I don’t know what to say, but I will notify Mrs. Lanyer.
Janice leaves the room and the door closes.
On the next episode, the effects of the article’s potential shutdown reaches big implications.
