ABC's comedy hour was definitely a highlight of last night, with Last Man Standing (1.3) rising a tenth for its second week in a row. It is now the only show on broadcast to have risen twice in a row from its season premiere. It is also up from its year-to-year performance AND its two-year-ago performance, making its number all the more impressive. Dr Ken (1.3) tied its lead-in, and surely shows promise in upcoming weeks. Looks like the majority of people who watched it warmed up to it. Another interesting tidbit: Fresh Off The Boat's first two airings were a 2.5 and a 2.3, exactly a ratings point ahead. Will we be seeing a similar trend for Ken, settling in the high 0s?
Elsewhere on ABC, Shark Tank (1.5) is the show in decline that no one's mentioning, while 20/20 (1.0) had yet another respectable week, beating fellow newsmagazine Dateline (0.9).
Although Dr Ken can be considered a Friday hit for now, the same can't be said for Undateable (0.8). Looks like its spring ratings indeed had a lot to do with having The Voice as a lead-in. Truth be told, potential fans of Truth be Told should be worried.
CBS didn't do anything worth mentioning this Friday, with The Amazing Race (1.1) and Blue Bloods (1.2) down a tenth from their numbers last week, with Hawaii 5-0 (1.1) even. All three shows are performing respectively for Fridays.
Over on The CW, the premiere of Reign (0.3) did OK, I suppose. I mean, there really isn't much farther down to go, but it's nice to see the show still managed to carry over a good amount of fans over with it. Of course, this is just the premiere, and while I expect it to remain relatively steady, we could see some dips into 0.1 or 0.2 territory later on. After came America's Next Top Model (0.4) which still does OK for a CW Friday. I don't see this one going anywhere.
