CW Renew/Cancel Watch: Reign a Long-Shot? Nope

Hey folks, this is Jessica. This is the first CW Renew/Cancel Watch post of 2016. No new predictions as of two weeks ago, so I'll be recycling headlines for search engine purposes.

Reign: TVLine is currently predicting Reign's renewal as a long-shot. I'll state this again to refute this nonsense argument. Reign is still certain to be renewed at the end of the 2015-16 season. Allow me to provide an example of a show that was recently renewed for season 4: Chicago P.D. The show will have 61 episodes but was one of NBC's early renewals. It was close to 66 episodes, just like Reign is. Even though it's a low rated CBS show, CBS affirmative action will certainly give it a season 4. And with the Tribune renegotiations under way, the network will do what it can to get its shows to 70-90 episodes for syndication.
