Hey folks, this is Jessica. This is actually the fourth installment of TV Flops Worse Than..., but it's the first with a name change. Wicked City was reportedly the first television show of the 2015-16 season to actually be pulled from the schedule after pulling a 0.4 A18-49 rating, which is typically what CW shows Jane the Virgin and The Originals have been getting this season. Without further ado, here are five more flops worse than Wicked City and every rookie show that has gone on an episode diet this season.
1. Cop Rock (1990)
This musical cop show went down the doughnut hole after 11 episodes. Based on the premise, it would've done better if it were titled "Rock Around the Cop". However, we got NYPD Blue out of this mess.
2. Who's Your Daddy? (2005)
This show was canceled after one episode, after being blasted by adoption rights organizations.
3. The Powers of Matthew Star (1982-1983)
This show was ranked #22 on TV Guide's list of 50 Worst TV Shows of All Time. No surprise, it was canceled after one season.
4. Betrayal (2013)
One of the many victims of the ABC 10pm death slot. Premiered with a 1.2 A18-49 rating. No backorder. Canceled by ABC at the end of its run. It sounded like a re-up of Scandal or Mistresses.
5. The Beautiful Life: TBL (2009)
This CW drama was given the ax after pulling in 1.38 million viewers, and a 0.6 A18-49 rating. Keep in mind, this was during the Dawn Ostroff era, and shows had higher ratings than this. A 0.6 A18-49 rating would be pretty good nowadays at the network. Apparently all the episodes are now available online on YouTube.
With so many flops and counting, there will be another installment before you know it. Let me know what you think about this list in the comments below!
