NBC aired their annual musical yesterday night and ratings were very good, effectively winning the night with a 3.4. It beat last year's Peter Pan Live! by a whole point. And, on the same night, it beat the normally monstrous Thursday Night Football over at CBS for some half-hours, which is already an exploit. Football was down by a lot, though, when compared to its NBC performance from last week.
ABC clearly is the biggest loser here, since it aired normally successfull (though moderately) specials Toy Story and Shrek the Halls. The first one, with its quite recent iteration Toy Story that Time Forgot only managed to get a 0.9, which Shrek the Halls only topped by .1. But CMA Country Christmas is clearly the biggest letdown, going fractionnal with a 0.9, down 0.7 from last year.
FOX only aired two Bones reruns, both scoring a 0.5 and a 0.6. Interestingly enough, it got beaten at 8pm by Vampire Diaries, which got a 0.6, up a tenth from its performance from two weeks ago. The Originals was also up by a tenth, getting a 0.5.
