The Originals: And now for the obvious, The Originals is still certain to be renewed. Why, you ask? The guarantee of the syndication gods! No show produced by a network's own studio (All CW shows are produced by either CBS or Warner Bros.) with 66 episodes has failed to get a fourth season for syndication purposes. At this point, the ratings the show gets, although mediocre at best, are practically irrelevant.

With only nine shows so far, and three more left to premiere, the death race is still too close to call. Looking at current predictions, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is certainly dead, iZombie is likely doomed, and The Vampire Diaries due to it being shipped to Fridays could go either way. All other shows are certain to be renewed. Hopefully there will be a much clearer picture after the CW gives out its early renewals.
