Analysis of TV Ratings Weeks 5 and 6

The Ratings Junkie Saturday, November 07, 2015

Hi my name is Preston and I will be analyzing the network television ratings every other week and how the ratings can impact your favorite show and in if it is renewed or cancelled. So read on to find out!! Welcome back everyone, last time you heard from me it was for Halloween and for which shows I thought would be cancelled so this time I am going to do all the shows that will be back for the 2016/2017 season!!!!

     Monday:

Dancing with the Stars: 1.9, 12 mil, aging but still going strong.

The Voice: 3.3, 12 mil, still a ratings powerhouse in this day in age.

Supergirl: 2.2, 8.8 mil, even though it almost dropped a full ratings point from its premiere it still is good enough to earn a renewal so far.

Scorpion: 1.9, 9.5 mil, not the ratings monster it once was but it is still high enough to warrant a ratings renewal.

NCIS:LA: 1.3, 8.4 mil, CBS will give it one more season at least.

Gotham: 1.6, 4.2 mil, FOX has bigger fish to fry.

Jane the Virgin: 0.4, 1 mil, this critics darling is winning awards for the CW and that is what I believe will seal its renewal.

     Tuesday:

CBS Tuesday Trio: All three will be renewed unless Limitless drops off and gets cancelled.

Fresh off the Boat: 1.6, 4.4 mil, this shows has been consistent and will get a renewal.

Agents of Shield: 1.4, 3.8 mil, same as OUAT, and has syndication working for it as well.

Chicago Fire: 1.8, 8.1 mil, scored that off of a The Voice repeat so it shows that it is not Voice dependent.

Scream Queens: 1.0, 2.4 mil, younger skewing show and is consistent so it will get a last minute renewal when FOX realizes it has nothing else to fill up there schedule haha.

Grandfathered: 1.0, 3.1 mil, something tells me that FOX will renew either The Grinder or Grandfathered and Grandfathed has the higher ratings so it will be renewed.

The Flash 1.5, 3.8 mil, it came in second in its time slot and it is on the CW so that pretty much sums it up.

      Wednesday:

This may sound weird but I think every Wednesday show will be renewed but Code Black haha.

      Thursday:

TGIT Trio: it's TGIT do I need to explain.

The Blacklist: 1.4, 6.4 mil, renewed for syndication purely.

Bones: 1.1, 5.3 mil, see Gotham

The Big Bang Theory: 3.7, 14.8 mil, just glance at the ratings and you will know why.

Mom: 1.5, 7.2 mil, renewed for syndication purely.

The Vampire Diaries: 0.6, 1.3 mil, good enough for the CW.

The Originals: 0.4, 0.9 mil, renewed for syndication purely.

       Friday (from nationals):

ABC Friday's: ABC has finally found a show that has stayed consistent at a 1.2 behind Last Man Standing and it looks like Dr. Ken is there to stay.

CBS Friday's: Hawaii Five-O is my only question mark but it is every year so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt.

Reign: 0.3, 1 mil, renewed for syndication purposes purely.

Masterchef Junior: 1.3, 4.1 mil, won the arguably most crowded hour on Friday so it will be back on FOX which once again has bigger fish to fry haha.

Sunday (note Sunday's numbers are from last week):

Madam Secratary: 1.1, 9.4 mil, another show that CBS will keep going for at least four years for syndication purposes.

Once Upon a Time: 1.5, 4.8 mil, ABC will keep this show for the Disney name.

Quantico: 1.2, 4 mil, best new drama that ABC has.

Fox's Comedy Block: as they say, if it ain't broke don't fix it.
