Why is Nashville "Likely to be Renewed"?

Why Are Last Man Standing and Dr Ken "Likely to be Renewed"?
Last Man Standing seems to be benefiting from syndication a little bit, and Dr. Ken is performing surprisingly well this season, typically staying steady at around a 1.2, tying its lead-in. They are to ABC's Friday what The Middle and The Goldbergs are to Wednesday. Both have very renewable ratings. However, I think this all comes down to Tim Allen's contract on Last Man Standing. If they can't bring back Tim Allen, then Last Man Standing isn't coming back, and if that is the case, then I'm willing to bet Dr Ken is also not returning. The reason behind this is that ABC has had an incredibly tough time launching a second multi-cam comedy behind Last Man Standing, and I imagine that would have a similar situation trying to do the same with Dr Ken. So whatever the fate of one of the shows is the fate of the other. Fresh Off The Boat may also become a factor here, as 20th Century FOX Studios may want to convince ABC to package the show with Last Man Standing for a renewal.
