NBC has renewed Shades of Blue for a third season. Airing at 10/9c in its first season, the drama performed respectably, leading out of low-rated repeats for the majority of its run and not falling below a 1.0 in the 18-49 demographic. The series currently airs after Chicago Justice on Sundays at 10/9 and has done relatively okay, garnering a 0.92 average after 2 episodes. While it is down over 20% from last season, it is providing stability to a very challenging timeslot.
Shades of Blue follows Harlee Santos (played by Jennifer Lopez) as a Brooklyn detective. The series also stars Ray Liotta, Warren Kole, and Drea de Matteo.
