Thursday night was the the return of long-running CBS reality staple The Amazing Race. While it returned much lower than its latest spring premiere, it was still a pretty big improvement over what Training Day was doing there. Also on CBS, the comedies returned to Thursday after a hiatus. The Big Bang Theory was down three tenths from its last airing, while Mom was down one and Life in Pieces slipped two. The Great Indoors was steady with its latest Thursday airing. ABC had a great night, with Grey's Anatomy gaining two tenths. That helped Scandal gain three and The Catch gain one. NBC had an awful night, though. Powerless returned to a new low of 0.6, below its Superstore repeat lead-in. Chicago Med posted its worst-ever result, dropping five tenths from its last airing. The Blacklist: Redemption looked much healthier though, as it gained despite having a higher lead-in. Fox's Masterchef Junior was down a tenth, though Kicking & Screaming was steady. The CW lineup returned, and Supernatural was up a tenth.
Finals Update: Powerless (-0.1), Grey's Anatomy (-0.1), Scandal (-0.1) , Mom (-0.1), and a Superstore repeat (-0.1) all adjusted down. The Big Bang Theory (+0.1) adjusted up.
