Although it didn't make the headlines, Powerless has been downgraded to a certain cancellation. NBC just does not need this show. I expect this move to be strengthened on Thursday when Powerless has its first airing without an original Superstore lead-in.

Blindspot (1.1 / 0.8)

Despite a slight rise in ratings for The Blacklist: Redemption, it is still listed as likely to be canceled. This bump was only due to a Voice-inflated Chicago Med lead-in, so don't get too excited. I predict a very dismal airing this upcoming Thursday, so don't be surprised if this show goes down to certain cancellation soon.

Shades of Blue and Taken are starting out on the NBC Renew/Cancel Watch in the "could go either way" category. Future episodes will determine if they lean more toward renewal or cancellation, so stay tuned...

At the time of this article's posting, Chicago Justice has already aired three episodes. These three episodes followed a downward trend in terms of ratings: the special crossover premiere got a 1.7, the time slot premiere got a 1.4, and then the special airing behind This Is Us got a 1.3 rating. Although this drop is concerning, I still believe that Justice will likely be making it to the 2017/18 season. Stay tuned to see if this prediction changes in the coming weeks, though.

All three Chicago veterans had very strong ratings for their most recent episodes due to the much-hyped "One Chicago" crossover event (Fire, P.D.) or a special lead-in of The Voice (Med). My question: how haven't these shows been renewed yet?
