Predictions for 4/4/21

Below are the latest renew/cancel predictions for the Fox network and the respective A18-49 rating averages for the listed programs. A new scripted series has entered the chart, with its performance putting it in grave danger.
The Moodys: The renewal of 'The Moodys' goes down as one of the most bizarre and confusing decisions of the 2019-20 television season. The Dennis Leary comedy completely tanked for its three-week run in December 2019, shedding more than 60% of the 'Masked Singer' audience for its premiere and falling as low as a putrid 0.3 rating. Despite the poor season one ratings, its 0.48 A18-49 average from 2019 actually seems decent when compared to its 2021 start. The sophomore series debuted with a horrific new low, posting a nightmarish 0.25 rating and losing 65% of its 'Hell's Kitchen' lead-in. This means that 'The Moodys' is already at the bottom of the chart, barely beating out canceled drama 'Next'. Given that most shows drop from their premieres, this second-season sitcom seems destined to be the lowest-rated scripted series on the Fox network. Fans of the program should not expect it to return for season 3. Status: LIKELY CANCEL
Bless the Harts: Fox finally decided to pull the plug on 'Bless the Harts', crudely canceling the cartoon comedy on April Fool's Day. The decision was far from a shock as 'Harts' was dumped into the 7:30pm death slot and recently fell to an atrocious 0.18 rating. The animated sitcom will continue airing out its second season through late-June, reaching a total of 34 episodes by the end of its run. That may not seem like much, but it's a higher count than most Fox cartoons not created by Matt Groening or Seth MacFarlane. The Fox network tried their best to make 'Bless the Harts' a hit, but it never pulled very strong ratings in the lucrative post-'Simpsons' slot. This goes down as another correct prediction for the TV Ratings Guide. Status: CANCELLED
Prodigal Son: The latest episode of 'Prodigal Son' posted a new series low, garnering an abysmal 0.36 on March 2nd. The two previous installments had also been new lows, with each following broadcast only sinking further. This is a concerning trend for the police procedural and does not bode well for its April 13th return. All signs point to 'Prodigal' falling some more when it comes back from its month-long break. A renewal continues to look like a longshot for this one. Status: LIKELY CANCEL
