Sarah, Brittaney, and Megan sit in a library study room. There textbooks and homework are spread out across the table.
BRITTANEY
Have you and Andrew set a date for dinner with his parents?
SARAH
Not yet. He’s having a little trouble getting them to agree on a date.
BRITTANEY
Really?
SARAH
Yeah. His mom will be busy on one day and his father on another. But at least I’ll finally be able to meet them.
BRITTANEY
That’s good. So what else is new?
MEGAN
Paige and I are dating.
Sarah and Brittaney stare at Megan in shock.
MEGAN
What?
SARAH
What do you mean, what? We want details now.
MEGAN
Well, we kind of had a connection at the bar during Edison’s birthday. The next morning, we… talked. That night I told her how I felt and… now we’re a couple.
SARAH
I’m so happy for you girl.
BRITTANEY
Same.
MEGAN
Me too. After Samantha, I never thought I’d ever feel comfortable with another girl ever again but with Paige… I just feel happy.
SARAH
That’s good.
MEGAN
But you can’t tell Andrew.
SARAH
Why?
MEGAN
Because he’ll tell Edison and Edison can’t know.
BRITTANEY
Why?
MEGAN
Because he and Paige used to date and their breakup was bad. How do you think he’d react to one of his best friends dating one of his exes.
BRITTANEY
Good idea.
MEGAN
Besides, he’s in a good mood after you two slept together.
SARAH
What!
BRITTANEY
How do you know?
MEGAN
Edison told Andrew and then Andrew let it slip.
SARAH
You slept with Edison!
BRITTANEY
I didn’t do it on purpose.
MEGAN
How does one accidentally have sex?
BRITTANEY
We were drunk.
SARAH
Does Mario know?
BRITTANEY
No. He’s still visiting family in Italy. I don’t know what I’m going to do.
SARAH
You have to tell him.
BRITTANEY
I know. It’s just, I don’t want to ruin things with Mario. We’re a great couple but…
SARAH
But what?
BRITTANEY
I… I think I’m in love with Edison. Again.
The room is silent.
SARAH
What do you mean?
BRITTANEY
Before we slept together, Edison and I hung out at the bar and… it was fun. It was like old times. Just him and me. But now things are confusing. I don’t know what to do.
SARAH
You need to tell Mario about you and Edison. That’s what you do.
Brittaney nods.
SARAH
Whatever happens after that, Megan and I will be there for you.
MEGAN
She’s right.
BRITTANEY
Thanks.
SARAH
Now, I don’t know about you all, but I’m done studying. Wanna get a drink?
MEGAN
Sounds great. Mind if I bring Paige?
SARAH
Of course. The more the better.
The three women get up and leave the study room.
