Bless the Harts Canceled by Fox After Two Seasons

In a cruel twist of fate, Fox is using April Fools Day to cancel one of its animated comedies. Bless the Harts, a sophomore member of the NBC Animation Domination lineup, won't be back for a third season. The writing was already on the wall for the series late last year, when the network announced that Harts would move from its 8:30 post-Simpsons slot to an unsatisfactory 7:30 perch, to make room for The Great North. Harts has never been a strong ratings performer for Fox, posting weak retention from The Simpsons from the very start of its run. It surprisingly managed a second season renewal a month into its run, but that second chance wasn't shown to be warranted and Fox gave up hope. Now, all hope is gone for Betty Hart and her family, and the show is officially not coming back. The show boasted an impressive vocal cast, with Kristen Wiig, Maya Rudolph, Jillian Bell, Ike Barinholtz, Fortune Feimster and Kumail Nanjiani featured in starring roles and Mary Steenburgen, Holly Hunter and Ken Jeong among the show's recurring cast. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
