It was a strong return to Sunday for The CW last night, and. a disastrous return to TV for Alec Baldwin. The CW brought out its new genre Sunday block with Supergirl and Charmed for the first time, both starting at 0.5s and out-rating the majority of CW's from their Premiere Week. Charmed was one of the more high-profile newbies this season due to it being a somewhat-controversial reboot of the 1998 series, so its hold next week will be interesting to witness. As of now though, it looks like a solid addition to the CW's lineup. Supergirl had an excellent trend with its Sunday move, tying last year's premiere with a 0.5. NBC had a massive NFL game that preliminarily drew a 6.0. Things went less well elsewhere. ABC gave Alec Baldwin a show for some reason, and it flopped as expected with a 0.4. The rest of the lineup saw a mild boost from last week, except for DWTS Juniors, which held steady with its premiere. Over on Fox, everything fell apart. The Simpsons dropped to 1.0, while Bob's Burgers went fractional in week three and Family Guy fell to 0.8. At 9:30, Rel tied fellow newbie comedy megaflop I Feel Bad with a 0.5, and it's now below anything The Last Man on Earth ever did. CBS had some NFL help but didn't really show it in their ratings, with God Friended Me growing two tenths to an eternally-mediocre 1.1, while NCIS: LA grew a tenth with 0.9. Madam Secretary did her thing.
