Child Support: We're only two episodes into the season, but Child Support is showing absolutely no signs of life. It's in the same exact position as last year's dearly departed flop The Toy Box: a late-season Friday reality show that makes the fall schedule and does abysmally. Except, unlike the Toy Box, Child Support wasn't a flop at first. But now it's ABC's lowest-rated show, and is doing even worse than last year's huge Friday flops like Once Upon a Time and Inhumans did. While it's probably a lot cheaper than those shows, it's still doing just too awful to put it in contention for renewal, and it's a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
Dancing With the Stars: My my, what do I say about this show? Dancing with the Stars is having a really rough season, not just going fractional for the first time, but going deep into fractionland. However, I can't see ABC kicking it to the curb so easily, especially with its recent "recovery" to 1.0. A move to Sundays (or Fridays) seems like a more likely fate than a straight-up cancellation. It's a LIKELY RENEWAL, but its glory days sure are behind it.
The Alec Baldwin Show: This talk show started last night with a 0.4, with 0.3 in the second half. Let's just not talk about this, it's CERTAIN TO BE CANCELED anyway.
America's Funniest Home Videos: Despite a strong season last year, AHFV fell a bit this season (thanks, in part, due to ABC's own scheduling). With a 0.8 average, the show is down about 20% thus far. However, it's still a bright spot on a Sunday lineup that can only be described as a disaster. This legacy show will live on for another year. It's a CERTAIN RENEWAL.
