Fox has ordered nine more episodes of their returning drama The Resident, bringing its season two order to 22. The series has been a solid performer for Fox, with an average of about 1.0 this season. That's pretty close to its first season average, but an improvement on the average of previous timeslot occupant Lucifer. Along with 9-1-1, The Resident has been part of a solid Monday lineup for Fox, with the night being one of Fox's best this Fall.
The TV Ratings Guide lists The Resident as "on the bubble" as of our most recent Fox Renew/Cancel.
