Superior Donuts is the first series premiere on CBS tonight, a half-hour adaptation of the play by Tracy Letts. Tonight's episode is its only episode on Thursday, as it will move to Monday at 9 PM starting next week. The Great Indoors premiered to a 1.9 in the slot in late October. Can Superior Donuts do better?
Training Day, 10 PM on CBS
The second of tonight's series premieres on CBS is Training Day, an hourlong adaptation of the 2001 Denzel Washington-Ethan Hawke film. The series is taking over for Pure Genius, which was able to average a 0.86 in the slot (and 0.85 overall). Genius premiered to a 1.0. Will Training Day be an improvement on it?
