Sunday TV Ratings, 2/12/17: Grammys Around Even, Son of Zorn Collapses

It was Grammys night for CBS, and to much success. "Music's Biggest Night" scored a 7.3 A8-149 preliminary rating, right around last year's number. Earlier in the night was 60 Minutes at a 2.4, and the Grammy Red Carpet at a 3.2. Needless to say they were the highest-rated network by far.

ABC and NBC more or less punted Grammy night, with the former showing movie The Blind Side (0.9), which edged out the latter's Fast & Furious 6 (0.7). Earlier in the night America's Funniest Home Videos was strong (1.2), and beat out Dateline Sunday (0.8).

FOX did not choose to punt the night and instead aired originals of its usually-successful Sunday block. The quartet got hurt by the Grammys much more than last season, with Family Guy (0.9) and Bob's Burgers (0.8) hitting their first fractional numbers of the season, The Simpsons (1.0) barely out of that territory, and Son of Zorn (0.6) pulling a Timeless and collapsing at the exact wrong time. Credit to Full Boyle for that last statement.
