ABC Renew/Cancel - October 7: Conviction is Certain to be Canceled

We are in week three of the new season, where we have seen some shows settle, some continue their descent, and one premiere. Predictions for Conviction and more follow!

Certain to be Canceled
Conviction (0.9)
Notorious (1.0, 0,9-1.1)

Likely to be Canceled
Dr. Ken (0.9, 0.8-0.9)
Secrets & Lies (1.0, 0.9-1.0)

Toss-Up
Agents of SHIELD (1.0, 0.9-1.1)
Once Upon a Time (1.2, 1.1-1.2)
Quantico (1.0, 1.0-1.0)

Likely to be Renewed
Last Man Standing (1.1, 1.1-1.1)
Modern Family (2.4, 2.2-2.6)

Certain to be Renewed
Black-ish (1.7, 1.5-2.0)
Designated Survivor (1.9, 1.6-2.2)
The Goldbergs (1.9, 1.8-2.0)
Grey's Anatomy (2.4, 2.2-2.5)
How to Get Away with Murder (1.3, 1.2-1.4)
Speechless (1.9, 1.8-2.0)

Conviction: While it didn't have as nice of a timeslot, Conviction still premiered two tenths beneath Notorious. It is only slightly stronger than Notorious, and slightly isn't enough. It is lower rated than all of the network's other shows except Dr. Ken. It would have to grow to return.

Dr. Ken: Dropping a tenth in week two is bad news for an already low-rated show. Even though it airs on Friday, the most difficult night, it is ABC's lowest-rated program, so it is still leaning towards cancelation.

Designated Survivor: While the show continues to fall, it also continues to be the network's second-highest rated drama, while airing at 10:00. It doesn't need to keep beating How to Get Away with Murder to survive, but it does so anyway. Additionally, the other new dramas this fall are not performing well at all.
