The Great Indoors Series Premiere Review

The final new show for me to get to, The Great Indoors premiered this Thursday. Here are my thoughts on the pilot episode.

S1E1 "Pilot"

The episode starts with Jack returning to Chicago. He meets the people working at the office, who are completely different than him. It is pretty funny, but nothing great. A lot of the jokes are too far fetched (could they really come up with three ways to drink your urine?). The show hits all of the typical jokes, such as a trophy for trying.

Jack insists that this isn't going to work out, but he finds out that it was Brooke who wanted him to come back. He brings a cub to the office to show the millennials. Jack and the millennials work together, and come up with an idea. The second half of the episode isn't very funny, though I do enjoy the recurring joke about Mason's penis.

The episode had few funny moments, and the characters are currently pretty one-dimensional or simply caricatures.

Score; 5.5/10
