Saturday TV Ratings 1/30/21: Saturday Night Live Returns Steady, NBA Game Weaker but Still Leads Primetime (UPDATED)


Preliminary Analysis: ABC beat all other 8-10 programs with its broadcast of the 'Lakers v. Celtics' NBA game (0.5). The latter led out of a lower-rated 'NBA Countdown' special (0.3). NBC wasn't far behind with repeats of 'Ellen's Game of Games' (0.3), 'Law & Order: SVU' (0.4), and 'SNL Vintage' (0.4). The original episode of 'SNL' at 11:30 posted a 1.44 A18-49 rating, on-par with its winter finale (1.4). CBS had a rerun of 'NCIS: New Orleans' (0.2) and a sturdy pair of '48 Hours' (0.3/0.4), one an encore and one original. Fox got a middling number out of 'Boxing' (0.3).

Finals Update: NBA: Lakers v. Celtics (+0.3) and PBC Boxing (+0.1) adjusted up. The repeats of Ellen's Game of Games (-0.1), Law & Order: SVU (-0.2) adjusted down.
