Tuesday TV Ratings 1/26/21: Mixedish Returns Well, Prodigal Son Sinks, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist Rises (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: ABC unveiled its new Tuesday-night lineup, with all four programs getting off to a solid start for their first episodes of 2021. The evening began with the sixth season premiere of 'To Tell the Truth' (0.6), the Anthony Anderson game show was only a tenth below where it began in May 2020 (0.7) and well above its dreadful September 2020 finale (0.4). 'Black-ish' (0.6) followed in the 9pm hour, going two-tenths higher than its last Wednesday original (0.4) and tying its strongest rating of the season. The season two debut of 'Mixed-ish' (0.6) performed a good bit better than its season 1 finale (0.5) while 'Big Sky' (0.6) held even at 10. Fresh off Sunday's football-boosted installment, CBS's 'FBI' (0.8) rose two-tenths from its fall finale (0.6). 'NCIS' (0.9) inched up from its previous outing while 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.6) was flat in the 10pm hour. 'The Resident' (0.6) matched last week on Fox but 'Prodigal Son' (0.4) ticked down to a brand-new series low. On NBC, 'Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist' (0.5) gained a tenth but 'Nurses' (0.2) made no such gains, a 'This Is Us' repeat (0.2) was sandwiched between the two. The CW was even across the board with 'Two Sentence Horror Stories' (0.1/0.1) and 'Trickster' (0.1).

Finals Update: To Tell the Truth (+0.1), NCIS (+0.1), FBI: Most Wanted (+0.1) and the repeat of This Is Us (+0.1) adjusted up.
