Wednesday Ratings: Hunted Even, Code Black and Star Up

The Ratings Junkie Thursday, February 02, 2017

The Wednesday preliminary ratings are in, and here are the highlights:

ABC was in rerun mode, with The Goldbergs and Modern Family anchoring the 8pm and 9pm hours respectively with 1.1 A18-49 demo ratings. At the bottom of the hours were Speechless and Blackish, holding on to their lead-ins well, both getting a 1.0 rating.

NBC was also in repeat mode this week, with Law & Order: SVU's 8pm rerun around on par with Blindspot originals, hitting a 0.9, and a 1.1 in its regular time slot. Finishing off the night was a rerun of Chicago PD, which hit a 0.9.

FOX showed a special of Showtime at the Apollo II, which hit a paltry 0.8 rating, yet somehow Star managed to rise to a 1.3. Perhaps the 1.2 rating last week was a fluke, or this special was much more compatible with it than the much higher-rated Lethal Weapon.

CBS was in full original mode last night, the only Big 4 network who can say that, and got solid results out of new reality series Hunted, which stayed even at a 1.3, Criminal Minds, also at a 1.3, and Code Black, which ticked up two tenths this week to a respectable 1.1.

Over on The CW, the Season 4 premiere of The 100 hit a 0.4 rating, way down from last season's premiere, with Arrow leading off the night with a 0.6.
