Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Ratings Are Look Away Terrible! It's Also the Lowest Rated Show on Broadcast. Why is it "Likely to be Renewed"?
According to SpottedRatings, the show's Renewology numbers are leaning towards renewal for a third season. The unrounded demo numbers have also increased, which is a good sign for the lowest rated show that can. This is a case where the CBS Studios factor is definitely coming into play, despite only having 13 episodes. I predicted it as "certain to be canceled" last season, so this is a once burned, twice shy case.
Why is Jane the Virgin "Certain to be Renewed"?
On the trainwreck known as CW ratings, Jane the Virgin remains the highest rated CBS Studios produced show for the past three weeks. It's in its third season, and it needs one more season for syndication. With No Tomorrow's low ratings, a 0.4 for three weeks straight doesn't look as bad. CBS Studios for the win!
The Supergirl Conundrum
Supergirl is still certain to be renewed. Despite hitting a new low on Halloween night (a 0.6 A18-49 rating to be exact), it's still in no danger of cancelation. A 0.6 may be good enough for renewal, but it probably won't be enough to keep its Monday time slot. Given that the CW has had trouble launching shows with high rated lead-ins (The Flash, for example), and that The Originals' 0.5-0.6 ratings on Mondays got it moved behind The Vampire Diaries, I can see Supergirl move to a 9pm slot on another night. If not, might as well move Supernatural to patch up 9pm.
