Below are the latest renew/cancel predictions for the Fox network in the 2022-23 television season. The numbers listed in the table mark the Nielsen rating low, average, and high for each respective program in the Adults 18-49 demographic. Since the previous update, 'The Simpsons', 'The Great North', 'Bob's Burgers', 'Family Guy', 'The Cleaning Lady', 'The Resident', and 'Welcome To Flatch' have all posted new season lows. Only scripted programming will be taken into account in this column.
Bob's Burgers: It goes without saying that 'Bob's Burgers' has defied the odds in a way few in Fox animation history have. The series seemed destined for an early death like almost every cartoon that was not 'The Simpsons' or a Seth MacFarlane creation. Instead, the Loren Bochard series just got a big-screen adaption and went into its 13th season with the distinction of being the 9PM anchor on Sunday nights. The fact that Fox has committed to giving it a plush, primetime timeslot after years of dumping it at 7:30 shows they truly see value in the program. Despite all that success, 'Bob's' has evidently been a much weaker performer than 'Family Guy' was at 9. Most recently, the sitcom fell to a meager 0.29 A18-49 rating and only improved by a few hundredths from 'The Great North. This rating ties its previous series low and is well below the level it was at last fall. 'Bob's' is still doing well enough to be Certain to be Renewed, but its current performance leaves much to be desired.
The Cleaning Lady: Just as it seemed to be stabilizing at a respectable level, 'The Cleaning Lady' crashed to a pitiful 0.27 rating for its October 17th episode. What makes this showing even more dreadful is that its '9-1-1' lead-in (0.63) actually rose by a considerable amount when compared to the week prior. Though 'The Cleaning Lady' is Likely to be Renewed, a downgrade is starting to become more conceivable if it does not recover in the coming weeks.
