Ratings Analysis: 'The Real Love Boat' (0.26) failed to stay above water on series premiere night and lost almost 70% of its soaring 'Survivor' lead-in (0.80, +0.14) out the gate. If this is the best that 'Love Boat' can muster up on day one, all signs point to CBS cutting ties with this sinking ship. At 10, 'The Amazing Race' (0.30, -0.08) built on 'Love Boat by a few ticks but was unable to grow by a meaningful amount. On ABC, 'The Conners' (0.46, -0.05) slid some more while 'The Goldbergs' (0.36, 0.00) held even at its previously-set low. The news got brighter from there as 'Abbott Elementary' (0.48, +0.02), 'Home Economics' (0.32, +0.02), and 'Big Sky' (0.24, +0.05) all improved on their week-ago episodes. NBC's 'Chicago Med' (0.64, -0.02) dipped a tiny bit, but 'Chicago Fire' (0.77, +0.09) and 'Chicago PD' (0.68, +0.02) climbed to new season highs. Fox series 'The Masked Singer' (0.67, +0.01) picked up a hundredth as 'LEGO Masters' (0.34, -0.01) lost one. On the CW, 'Kung Fu' (0.07) grew from its 'Stargirl' lead-in (0.05, +0.01) for its third season premiere and beat out its June finale (0.05).
