Wednesday TV Ratings 3/3/21: Name That Tune Ends Steady, ABC Comedies Slip, SEAL Team Grows from Tough As Nails, The Con Returns Low (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: Fox's 'Name That Tune' (0.5/0.6) ended its season in relatively decent fashion, steady with last week in both hours. 'Tune' never strayed too far from the 0.7 rating it posted for its premiere and that stable trajectory could definitely help its chances of scoring a second season. ABC's comedy block remained at middling levels as 'The Goldbergs' (0.6), 'American Housewife' (0.5), 'The Conners' (0.5), and 'Call Your Mother' (0.4) all lost a tenth. In the 10pm hour, 'The Con' (0.3) was indistinguishable from a usual episode of 'For Life'. The true-crime series was one tenth below its last outing from October 2020 (0.4). 'Tough As Nails' (0.4) inched down on CBS but 'SEAL Team' (0.5) and 'SWAT' (0.4) were unchanged for their returns. NBC came within striking distance of CBS with repeats of 'Chicago Med' (0.4), 'Chicago Fire' (0.4), and 'Chicago PD' (0.4). The CW had encores of 'Riverdale' (0.1) and 'Nancy Drew' (0.0), the latter posting a rating that has become increasingly common for the network.
