Sunday TV Ratings 3/21/21: The Simpsons Down for 700th Episode, American Idol, Good Girls and Millionaire Finale Hold Steady (UPDATED)

Preliminary Analysis: Fox's lineup took a noticeable hit in the 7pm hour as 'Cherries Wild' (0.2) and 'Bless the Harts' (0.2) were down two-tenths and a tenth respectively. That had a negative ripple effect on the rest of the toons as the 700th episode of 'The Simpsons' (0.4), 'The Great North' (0.3), and 'Bob's Burgers' (0.4) all shed a tenth. Later in the night, a repeat of 'Family Guy' (0.4) actually tied its week-ago original. ABC had a fairly stable evening, with 'American Idol' (0.8) and the 'Millionaire' finale (0.4) unchanged on a week-to-week basis. In the 7pm hour, 'AFV' (0.6) lost a tenth for its first new episode in two weeks. A strong 'NCAA' game (2.0) populated the 7pm slot on CBS, but '60 Minutes' (0.8) actually lost two-tenths. Repeats of 'The Equalizer' (0.5), 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.4), and 'NCIS: New Orleans' (0.3) followed from there.
