TV’s #1 comedy will be back in a big way. CBS has handed Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon an additional three seasons, taking it to a seventh season. The show has been a massive success for CBS, with its series premiere rating as one of the strongest episodes in modern TV history, ratings-wise. It didn’t stay at that ratings height, but it has remained a top performer for CBS ever since, even after losing its Big Bang lead-in. It rates as the #4 scripted series on CBS this season with a 0.81 rating, tying The Neighborhood. It was most recently given a two-season renewal during its second season. Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts, Montana Jordan and Raegan Revord star in the series as the young version of Jim Parsons' Big Bang Theory character Sheldon Cooper and his family. Parsons serves as an executive producer and the narrator for the series. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide's CBS Renew/Cancel.
