Mr. Mayor Renewed for Season 2

Nearly a month after its inaugural seaosn wrapped, NBC is officially confirming the re-election of Mr. Mayor. The Ted Danson-fronted comedy from Tina Fey and Robert Carlock was a modest but respectible ratings performer that boasted a solid streaming deal and strong delayed and streaming viewership, ensuring its second season. Fey and Carlock have been frequent partners at NBC, previously creating 30 Rock and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (which then moved to Netflix) for the Peacock, as well as producing Great News. Danson has been a face familiar to NBC audiences since the 1980s, starring on the iconic Cheers for over a decade. He recently wrapped a four-season run on NBC's The Good Place. Mr. Mayor debuted on January 7 to decent ratings and remained stable in the 18-49 ratings throughout its run, with ratings ranging from 0.5 to 0.6 for all nine episodes. Holly Hunter, Bobby Moynihan, Vella Lovell, Kyla Kenedy and Mike Cabellon co-star alongside Danson. This is a correct prediction for The TV Ratings Guide.
