Kenan: Despite a strong start, Kenan has ended up being a... not strong performer. The comedy series, which took two years after its series order to finally make it to air, stars one of NBC's most recognizable talents, Kenan Thompson, who has starred on SNL for nearly twenty years. It's also executive produced by Lorne Michaels, the man behind the most iconic sketch comedy in TV history. With folks like that behind it, it probably could manage a renewal despite the modest ratings. NBC has a hsitory of renewing shows simply because they have strong relationships with their creatives. Still, it's hard to imagine a world in which NBC is pleased with the show's performance. It isn't doing notably better than what other shows would likely be doing its slot, and it barely has any competition t all. I can't help but shake the feeling that it'll be one and done. With three new comedies this season in the renewal range and at least two new ones on the way, I don't know if there's room for it. It's certainly the least likely to be back of these three and always has been. It LEANS CANCELLATION.

Mr. Mayor: This week, NBC ordered a second season of Ted Danson's new comedy from creators Tina Fey and Robert Carlock. It's news I've long expected, given NBC's devotion of Fey, its allegedly strong streaming performance, and its ratings that aren't all that much worse than the Tuesday comedies. I've had it as a likely renewal from week one, and it's a correct prediction for me.

What do you think of my predictions? What are your predictions? Let me know in the comments and vote in the poll of the week!

Which of my predictions do you disagree with most?
Kenan as Leans Cancellation
Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist as Leans Renewal
Good Girls as Likely Renewal
Young Rock as Likely Renewal
Nurses as Likely Cancellation
Debris as Likely Cancellation
