Debris: It may have gained a bit in the ratings this week, but it still seems pretty clear: Debris isn't coming back. The new sci-fi drama plunged to an embarrassing 0.36 in week two, and remained at 0.4 in week two (though nearly a full tenth higher, at a 0.44). The Voice drew a 1.1 this week, and 40% retention from Debris is nothing to be excited about if you're NBC. It's better than the 35% retention in week two, but that's not something to celebrate. Surely, NBC is expecting better than 0.4 for a post-Voice show. History suggests that NBC won't hesitate to cancel underpeforming shows in this slot, and Debris seems doomed to repeat history. It's a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
Good Girls: The veteran comedy-drama and Sunday staple ticked down this week, hitting a series low 0.32 despite a decent return the previous week. This doesn't change my prediction for it, though. As I said last week, the show continues to air for reasons beyond its same-day ratings, and hitting a new series low isn't going to be as much of a problem for it as it is for a show without its hefty Netflix deal. It remains a LIKELY RENEWAL.
