Preliminary Analysis: The sixth season of 'NCIS: New Orleans' (0.5) came to a close on CBS, down a tenth from its last broadcast and matching the program's series low. Despite that, it was only a hair below its 2019 finale (0.6). There was more slippage earlier in the night as recently-canceled 'God Friended Me' (0.5) and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.6) lost one tenth apiece at 8pm and 9pm respectively. '60 Minutes' (0.9) held steady at 7, simultaneously topping the night.
Fox's animated comedy lineup returned after nearly a month off the air, hit show 'The Simpsons' (0.5) lost a tenth from its last original, tying its season and series low. It led into an otherwise steady lineup of 'Duncanville' (0.4), 'Bob's Burgers' (0.5), and 'Family Guy' (0.6). Low-rated toon repeats (0.3/0.3) occupied the 7pm hour.
NBC's 'Little Big Shots' (0.4) gained a tenth at 7 but lead-outs 'The Wall' (0.5), 'Zoey' (0.4), and 'Good Girls' (0.4) all remained even.
ABC was in repeat mode but still managed to remain competitive as an 'American Idol' recap special and 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (0.8/0.8) both had sturdy showings. Even a 10pm repeat of 'The Rookie' (0.4) was not much lower than many of the night's first-run episodes. The CW had repeats of 'Batwoman (0.1) and 'Supergirl' (0.1).
