Preliminary Analysis: Easter Sunday was a quiet night for broadcast television as the only show to clear the 1.0 threshold was a clip show of ABC's 'American Idol' (1.0). It was surrounded by a repeat of 'AFV' (0.8) at 7 and drama 'The Rookie' (0.7) at 10. The latter took a one-tenth dip from its last episode. CBS was fairly steady with '60 Minutes' (0.9), 'God Friended Me' (0.6), and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.7) all matching their previous broadcasts. At 10, 'NCIS: New Orleans' (0.6) inched down on a week-to-week basis. NBC had repeats of 'Jesus Christ Superstar Live' (0.4) and 'Dateline NBC' (0.4). The Jesus Christ special was a far cry from the robust 1.7 rating it posted for its original broadcast on April 1, 2018 (over 2 years ago!). The silver lining was that it actually improved from last week's showing of 'Little Big Shots' (0.3).
FOX also brought back an Easter special they have not aired since April 1, 2018. 'Ice Age: The Great Egg-scapade' (0.3) was down a tenth from the last time it aired (0.4). It had minimal help from a 'Simpsons' repeat (0.3) lead-in at 7. From 8-10, Fox had 0.4s across the board for their cartoon repeat lineup, including recently-renewed 'Duncanville' which continues to match the rating it has posted for some original episodes. The CW fell into last place as usual with low-rated repeats of 'Batwoman' (0.1) and 'Supergirl' (0.1).
Finals Update: 'The Rookie' (-0.1) adjusted down.
