FOX has canceled baseball drama Pitch after a 10-episode first season. While its ratings tied or beat those of lead-in Rosewood, they still weren't all that great. The deal with Major League Baseball either didn't continue into a proposed second season or simply wasn't enough. Looks like Dan Fogelman has another short-lived show to add to his resume, and of course, more time to work on that This is Us show.
