In a strange turn of events, NBC has renewed Timeless for a second season just days after canceling it. The series had fairly modest ratings, averaging a 1.1 in the 18-49 demographic, but ratings fell as low as a 0.6 towards the end of its run, nevertheless, NBC still decided to give the series another go. Timeless was created by Eric Kripke and Shawn Ryan. The series starred Abigal Spencer, Matt Lanter, Goran Višnjić, Malcolm Barrett, and Paterson Joseph. Creator Eric Kripke has reported that the series will return with 10 episodes next summer but Shawn Ryan later tweeted that it will either be Spring or Summer 2018.
