Trial & Error Renewed by NBC

NBC

NBC has renewed Trial & Error for a second season. The murder-mystery comedy follows Josh Segal and his unqualified legal team as they attempt to prove that their client is innocent. The first season followed the case of Larry Henderson (John Lithgow) who was accused of murdering his wife. Trial & Error averaged a modest 0.92 in the 18-49 ratings airing after The Voice, but critical acclaim and the network having just three other returning comedies likely buoyed its status and led to this decision. Trial & Error is 1 out of 4 comedies that will be returning to NBC for the 2017-18 season, the other three are Superstore, Great News, and The Good Place. The second season of Trial & Error will have 10 episodes.
