Ratings Analysis: Though it began on shaky ground last week, NBC's new comedy 'American Auto' (0.50, +0.11) picked up a tenth and jumped to its highest rating on record. If 'Auto' is able to stay at this level, it could potentially be one of the peacock network's strongest comedy offerings. At 8:30, sitcom 'Grand Crew' (0.38, +0.08) gained eight-hundredths but was a bit shy of hitting a new high. 'This Is Us' (0.94, -0.11) fell by a tenth from its season premiere, but 10PM drama 'New Amsterdam' (0.45, +0.08) rose by a noticeable amount after disappointing the week prior. On ABC, 'Judge Steve Harvey' (0.68, -0.05) and 'Abbott Elementary' (0.61, -0.03) dealt with minor declines but continued to deliver sturdy ratings. 'Black-ish' (0.41, -0.12) was hit much harder than those two while 'Queens' (0.26, -0.02) ticked down at 10. On CBS, 'FBI' (0.75, -0.01) and 'FBI: International' (0.55, -0.01) lost a hundredth apiece as 'FBI: Most Wanted' (0.50, +0.03) increased by three-hundredths. Airing behind a rerun of '9-1-1: Lone Star' (0.25), Fox's 'Our Kind of People' (0.26, +0.04) was able to build from an anemic fall finale. In spite of that, the drama was still the lowest, non-CW original of the evening. On the CW front, the premiere of 'Superman & Lois' (0.23) more than doubled its August 2021 finale (0.11). New drama 'Naomi' (0.14) had a middling launch by the network's standards.
Finals Update: 'FBI' (+0.1), 'Judge Steve Harvey' (+0.1), 'FBI: International' (+0.1), 'Queens' (+0.1), and 'New Amsterdam' (+0.1) adjusted up.
