Ratings Analysis: Fox's new drama 'The Cleaning Lady' (0.51) got off to a relatively decent start for its first ever episode. While it only retained about 70% of its '9-1-1: Lone Star' lead-in, this launch was a clear step above the fall debuts of 'The Big Leap' (0.29) and 'Our Kind of People' (0.35). 'Lone Star' itself (0.76) returned in solid shape, coming in only a tenth lower than its May finale (0.87) despite not having parent program '9-1-1' to give it a boost. On ABC, the season premiere of 'The Bachelor' (0.84) was close to 40% behind its 2021 start (1.33) but still bested all other primetime broadcasts. Encores of 'Abbott Elementary' (0.35) and 'Black-ish' (0.24) occupied the 10PM hour. On NBC, the season two premiere of sitcom 'Kenan' (0.34/0.26) was an absolute train wreck, falling behind every episode of season one and even the Christmas special from two weeks ago (0.36). Fallon game show 'That's My Jam' (0.37) improved from 'Kenan' but dropped dramatically from its November preview (0.60). At 10, 'Ordinary Joe' (0.22, -0.06) posted a new series low for its first episode of 2022. CBS had nothing to write home about as 'The Neighborhood' (0.54, -0.09), 'NCIS' (0.47, -0.11), and 'NCIS: Hawai'i' (0.38, -0.06) all plummeted to new lows. 'Bob Hearts Abishola' (0.51, +0.02) was the lone show of the lineup to buck that downward trend. The CW went with repeats of 'All American' (0.05) and '4400' (0.03).
Finals Update: '9-1-1: Lone Star' (+0.1) and 'NCIS' (+0.1) adjusted up. 'The Bachelor' (-0.1), the 8 PM 'Kenan' (-0.1), 'Ordinary Joe' (-0.1), and the repeat of 'Blackish' (-0.1) adjusted down.
