Ratings Analysis: With help from host Ariana DeBose and musical guest Bleachers, 'Saturday Night Live' (1.02, +0.13) rose by more than a tenth from its makeshift winter finale (0.89) and crossed the 1.0 threshold for the first time since October. Earlier in the night, NBC had football-inflated reruns of 'That's My Jam' (0.90), 'Dateline' (0.46), and 'SNL Vintage' (0.38). CBS's monstrous 'Patriots v. Bills' NFL game (7.03) outshined all other offerings and led the network to a effortless victory. ABC had a passable 'America's Funniest Home Videos' encore (0.26) that was followed by meager repeats of new sitcom 'Abbott Elementary' (0.15/0.13) and drama 'The Rookie' (0.12). Fox was close to invisible with encores of 'Next Level Chef' (0.17), 'Call Me Kat' (0.13), and 'Pivoting' (0.11). Over on the CW, 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' (0.05, -0.04) and 'World's Funniest Animals' (0.04, -0.02) lost a good chunk of what they posted last Saturday. The 8:30pm 'Whose Line' encore (0.05) and 9:30pm 'Animals' repeat (0.06) ended up tying and outperforming the originals respectively.
Finals Update: 'NFL: Patriots v. Bills' (+1.9) and repeats of 'America's Funniest Home Videos' (+0.1) and 'Abbott Elementary' (+0.1) adjusted up. The repeat of 'That's My Jam' (-0.1) adjusted down.
