Dancing With the Stars Season 25 Episode 3 Review

It's the second night of Week two of Dancing With the Stars, and it's Latin Week! I've not been a huge fan of Latin Week in the past, but maybe this season will change my mind?

Lindsey Stirling and Mark Ballas -
After a disappointing second dance, this was a welcome rebound for Lindsey. It was fun and energetic, and she the technique was definitely there. This was also a much more memorable dance than Monday's.
My Score: 8

Derek Fisher and Sharna Burgess -
This was a big improvement over Derek's dance from last night, and there was a lot of Paso Doble content in it. It was great to watch, and this is really the first time I've seen the potential for Derek to be a really good dancer.
My Score: 7

Frankie Muniz and Witney Carson -
I'm blown away by how well Frankie is doing this season. After two already-impressive dances, he impressed me even more this week, with my favorite dance of the night. He was fun to watch AND he was good. It doesn't necessarily have to be one or the other.
My Score: 8

Nick Lachey and Peta Murgatroyd -
I didn't see much improvement from Nick in last night's dance, but this time, I did. It was a pretty good dance, but I didn't love it. There wasn't really that much passion there, which is kinda the spirit of the Argentine tango. But I still liked it!
My Score: 7

Vanessa Lachey and Maks Chmerkovskiy -
Vanessa was one of my favorite dancers on Monday, but I didn't really care for this dance. It was fine, and it was certainly energetic, but I wasn't wowed by it.
My Score: 7

Drew Scott and Emma Slater -
This was Drew's second consecutive dance in which I saw some improvement, and though he's far from my favorite, it's great to see someone with pretty much no previous dance experience do pretty well. He's getting better, and I hope he can continue that.
My Score: 7

Terrell Owens and Cheryl Burke -
This was another mediocre dance from Terrell. I really wasn't a fan of it, and he's easily my leas favorite dancer left. I actually enjoyed this one a bit less than his dance on Monday, though it was better than his first one.
My Score: 6

Victoria Arlen and Val Chmerkovskiy -
Victoria was my favorite dancer on night 2, but this was a bit underwhelming. It wasn't nearly as good or as entertaining as her Tango, but it was still good. But I didn't love it like Monday's dance.
My Score: 7

Sasha Pieterse and Gleb Savchenko -
This was really fun. It was enjoyable to watch, and Sasha nailed it. She's improved so much in just three dances, and I'm excited to see how much more she can improve next week and in the coming weeks.
My Score: 8

Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev -
I wasn't a huge fan of this dance. It was kinda underwhelming, and I preferred her dance from last night. There was a lot of samba content, which I liked, but it was lacking something. It really wasn't anything special.
My Score: 6

Jordan Fisher and Lindsay Arnold -
This was another solid dance from Jordan, but I'm still not seeing that much improvement here. It was obviously still very good, and I really enjoyed it, but I'm not seeing the same improvement with Jordan that I've seen in most of the other contestants.
My Score: 8

Debbie Gibson and Alan Bersten -
This was my favorite dance of Debbie's yet. It was really entertaining and the she did a great job with the choreography. Her chemistry with Alan was so-so, but it's definitely there.
My Score: 7

Superlatives:
Worst of the Night: Terrell & Cheryl
(Dis)Honorable Mention: Nikki & Artem

Dancer of the Night: Frankie & Witney
Honorable Mention: Lindsey & Mark

Wrap-Up-
This episode wasn't as good as Monday's, but I still enjoyed it. Only one person really wowed me, but I did like a lot of the other performances.
My Score: 8/10
