Why Is Sleepy Hollow Now "Likely to be Canceled"?
Sleepy Hollow had a slow start this season on Thursdays, but when most of its audience carried over to Fridays midseason, Sleepy Hollow slowly gained momentum in its chances for renewal. However, last night the show hit just a 0.6 A18-49 demo rating, which is really an inexcusable number. It could be upgraded again if it bounces back, but for now I heavily favor Rosewood for a renewal over Sleepy Hollow if you told me one and only one will be renewed.
There was a theory presented to me a short while ago that Sleepy Hollow is getting a big promotional push during a FOX special event, indicating that FOX plans on renewing the show. However, now I have an alternate theory: they're having trouble selling advertisements and are promoting it until the ads get sold. If it continues with these 0.6s, or even 0.7s, it doesn't have a great chance at renewal. Of course, I don't know how it does with C7 or online ratings or anything, but if we're going off of the numbers that are available to the public, then things aren't looking so good anymore for Sleepy Hollow.
