The most important ratings to watch last week were CNN’s. With Don Lemon’s CNN Tonight getting most of the week off and Anderson Cooper having a substitute on Thursday, it was unclear how the network would do. Cuomo Prime Time was the highest-rated show on CNN in the coveted Adults 25-54 demographic every day of the week, with the 10pm hour leading Wednesday. Conversely, the one airing of CNN Tonight came in last place on CNN.

FOX News dominated the week yet again, taking back its throne after CNN saw a brief lead during the live protest coverage in late May and early June. Last week, all of FOX News’ programs led CNN and MSNBC with only one exception. In general, ratings on FOX News tend to decline throughout the night, yet remain some of cable’s highest-rated shows regardless.

MSNBC, meanwhile, does not see ratings decline throughout the night. Instead, it continues to be anchored by Rachel Maddow Show at 9, which edged out nine of the twelve CNN prime time hours. With Last Word and All In lagging behind, someone might wonder if moving Maddow to 8pm would affect the night’s ratings.
