Preliminary Analysis: After five years on the air, NBC's 'Blindspot' (0.3) ended its run with a whimper in the 9pm slot. While the Jaimie Alexander drama did rise a tenth from the dreadful July 9th low (0.2), this was still quite a sour note to end things on for a series that debuted to a monstrous 3.1 rating in 2015. To make matters worse, 'Blindspot' lost a tenth from a repeat of 'Ellen's Game of Games' (0.4) that aired before it. The peacock network capped the night with a feeble 'SVU' repeat (0.2).
A 0.5 rating was once more high enough to make a series the night's top program, further highlighting how pitiful broadcast ratings have become. ABC's repeat of 'Holey Moley' (0.5) and CBS's encore of 'Young Sheldon' (0.5) tied for the top slot. ABC followed 'Moley' with more game show encores (0.4/0.4) while CBS went with sitcoms and 'NCIS: Los Angeles' (0.4/0.4/0.4/0.3).
Fox had one of the other few originals with a steady 'Celebrity Watch Party' (0.3). It led into a repeat of 'Beat Shazam' (0.3) that managed to match it. 'Shazam' has been absent from the Fox roster since December 2019. The CW's 'Killer Camp' (0.1) was even and led into repeats of 'Masters of Illusion' (0.1/0.1).
Final numbers to come.
