Game On!: This has been my most difficult show to predict this season, and no week makes it easier. Its ratings track from the past few weeks is 0.6-0.4-0.6, an unusual and rare trend. Most shows don't just drop and rise multiple tenths from week to week, especially when losing two-tenths is a loss of 33% of the show's ratings. 0.6 seems like a pretty clear renewal, while 0.4 looks like a cancel-worthy number for a show at 8. CBS has sent some signs that may lead one to believe they aren't planning to bring it back. They switched its timeslot, with upcoming show Tough As Nails now airing at 8 starting next week, which wasn't always the plan. That may be a sign that they aren't happy with Game On's ratings so far. They also just decided on a two-hour Tough As Nails premiere, throwing Game On off the schedule for the week. I don't think they'd treat a priority show in such a way. For that reason, I'm downgrading it to LEANS CANCELLATION. There are signs pointing to a renewal, but there's more pointing towards cancellation.

The Genetic Detective: ABC's new unscripted crime series wrapped up a short run this week. It was never a big performer for them, but it has done just about all it could with the horrible lead-ins that ABC has given it. It grew from or tied its lead-in on four occasions in just six episodes. With ABC renewing shows like Stumptown and For Life, which are obviously more expensive, it could definitely be back. I still think ABC sees it more as a Last Defense-esque one-and-done summer filler show that they never really intended to bring back. It wasn't promoted heavily, so they don't seem terribly invested in it, which makes me think a LEANS CANCELLATION rating is fair.

Council of Dads: It's one of the few scripted programs of the summer, but I didn't talk about it at all in the Summer Renew/Cancel because its fate was already set in stone after the premiere. Last week, just as the last Renew/Cancel was posted, NBC announced that the show was canceled. It's been a certain cancellation since week one, and is a correct prediction.
