AMC:
NOS4A2: In just two weeks, NOS4A2 managed to fall from being mildly endangered to being in major trouble. The 0.12 start was already bad enough, but dropping a third of its audience to a 0.08 in just week two is a terrible sign. It averaged a 0.2 for all of season one and never went below 0.15, so this low is now a near 50% decline from the old one. It's hard to imagine AMC finding a way to make another season work. The best I could realistically imagine for this show is for it to get a third and final season, and even that seems like a longshot now. It's a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
Friday Night In: Since debuting in April, this show has been a consistently week performer. ranging from 0.0s to weak 0.1s. That's not a far cry from a lot of other AMC shows, but that doesn't make it good. It seems to exist solely as a way to program during the COVID quarantine, and it doesn't seem like something worth bringing back after this is over. Hence, it has no real reason to be renewed and is a LIKELY CANCELLATION.
FX:
What We Do In The Shadows, The Weekly, Better Things and Mr. Inbetween: Since our last update, FX went ahead and renewed every show with a TBD fate. All are correct predictions.
USA:
Dirty John: After a solid start, the anthology series has been a bit weaker, first dipping below a 0.2 in episode four and never rising above that, dipping to a rounded 0.1 (0.13 to be precise) this week. I had planned to label it a Likely Renewal, but at this point it looks like it's in more trouble than that. I still think it'll be back, because other shows were renewed with even worse ratings, but it's definitely not out of the woods. 0.13 isn't an objectively strong rating and unlike most second season shows, it's not a true USA original, with the network only having acquired it after being moved off of Bravo. It LEANS RENEWAL.
Treadstone and The Purge: Since the last update, both of these shows were canceled by USA. Treadstone was a correct prediction, while The Purge was not.
The Sinner: I took a swing when I predicted that USA would cancel this one-time hit, but that was an incorrect swing. They renewed it for a fourth season recently, despite the massive ratings drops from season-to-season.
